“What is the point!”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

We made a diversion and came here from the Humber Bridge. My friend had been ages ago and had gone up to the very top.
Unfortunately you can't do this anymore so even though the museum is ok, it is nothing special and it could be anywhere. I didn't feel I was in a windmill.
The windmill itself is lovely to look at, it is such a pity you can't climb up it and get the view from the top.

“Great Value!”
Reviewed 31 March 2014 via mobile

We popped to skidby windmill to make the most of the nice weather on mothers day. We thought the museum would be small and might only keep the kids (aged 3 and 6) busy for a short while. We actually managed to spend an hour looking round. There were lots of little things to keep the children busy and that gave us time to read all the interesting information. Both members of staff we met were lovely and happy to share their knowledge with us. The outside space is lovely too with a great playground and green space to run around (and in our case eat a picnic!). There is also a cafe which was clearly popular but we didn't visit it on this trip. The entrance fee is an absolute bargain and we will definitely visit again over the summer to try out the wildlife explorer packs and hopefully see the sails turning.
