Premier Inn Hull North Hotel

Nowhere did I read that this hotel comes with a free sauna in every room. Believe me, it does. Even with the heating off, the lights off, the heated towel rail off the window open as far as the restrictor would allow and the room door wedged open with a chair, the lowest temperature we managed to record in our room in our 2-day stay was 28.5c. For most of the time - even at 6.00am - the temperature was a sweltering 30c.

In all other respects, it's much like any other Premier Inn: Predictable. Okay, the outside badly needs a lick of paint and the internal decoration is probably only a year or so away from a refurb. But on the positive side, the staff are as friendly and helpful as you'll find anywhere.

What a great Yorkshire experience. My wife and I were a bit hesitant in staying 5 nights on the outskirts of Hull but in the end, we had a ball. OK, the room was hot and the traffic noise was a bit excessive but the staff more than made up for these minor distractions and we were not staying or payinf for the George V in Paris or the Ritz in London. However neither could match the friendiness and good nature of the staff whether in reception, breakfast/dining room or even housekeeping. What a pleasure to meet real people who were completely genuine and engaging. A real treat these days. Fantastic pleasure. Worth every penny.

Second time staying at Hull North, this time to see daughter graduate. Room was extremely comfortable and very clean, no real complaints apart from the fact that it was a very warm evening and we had to keep the window open rather than leave the fan on and the road outside did get busy quite early on.

Clean hotel, with friendly staff and good customer service near to shopping area and restaurants. Good parking facilities and has pub attached too. Is near a road so some traffic noise but not to noisy.

Don't let the outside of the building put you off. The peeling paint and rotten windows do not reflect the inside. I found it to be very clean and tidy throughout the building. The location is excellent as it is surrounded by restaurants - Frankie and bennys , chiquitos, oyster catcher pub, Pizza Hut and table table. Also cineworld and Hollywood bowl. The entrance roadway is not very clearly marked, though. It took us two attempts to find it. Could be better marked.

Premier Inn market the 'Good Night's Sleep' and rightly so. Have always found the actual bed to be very comfortable and the choice of pillows excellent. Was not disappointed this time.
We were warned on web site that it was near to a busy road. The window was open when we arrived and the road noise was obvious. On closing the window it was quieter than our bedroom at home, so no problem.
Staff were friendly and happy to chat. A really pleasant stay altogether.
