A large group of us recently spent four nights at the hotel and found everything we needed was there. Before we arrived the friendly manager had organised for a wheelchair to be available for us plus a safe parking place for our coach. The welcome was really good even though we arrived late in to the evening when the receptionist was on her own. Breakfasts were basic but enough to start the day well. When we asked to use the dining space for a quiz night we were handed takeaway menus so that we could eat in the hotel to make a proper evening of it! They even let us use their plates and cutlery! I would certainly recommend this friendly, caring hotel for group trips as it is near to all the main sites and provided us with all we needed.

Room Tip: As the hotel is well above street level it wasn't a problem in any room

I spent about 30 nights in this hotel in 2014. It has the basics and not much more. If there was no shopping mall within a short walking distance, there would be nothing to recommend. The rooms are small, the couch or chair in each room is uncomfortable. The free breakfast is inedible unless you prefer baked beans piled on top of everything else to kill the taste. Their eggs are without flavor and the sausages taste like leather. If I wasn't required to stay here by my employer and if there were no points to be earned to be used elsewhere, I would never stay here again. The coffee was lokay.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

We were greeted with a very friendly receptionist very helpful, the rooms very very nice and clean couldn't hear any noise considering we was opposite a night club. The next day when we went to check out there was a different receptionist she was very rude and laughed in our faces when I asked for my id back lovely hotel but customer service was terrible

We recently spent two nights in this hotel. We wanted somewhere near the station and as I have stayed here twice before, we knew exactly what to expect.

The reception staff are welcoming, very helpful and friendly, which is always a good start. We asked for a room on one of the upper floors and facing the river. The views from here are amazing. Our room was spacious, with a double bed, sofa bed, chair and desk. The bed was very comfortable, my only grouse being that it was standard size. The storage space is limited so might be difficult if you are staying for more than a couple of nights. The bathroom area was very good with plenty of space. It was immaculate, as was the rest of the hotel.

Breakfast was adequate, with all dishes kept well stocked. There was a limited choice of hot and cold food, for example the hot food consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage and beans. The coffee came from a machine and was surprisingly good. Everything was self-service and if there were several people there, you had to wait as the area is small. We enjoyed our breakfast on both days.

There is a certain formula to this type of hotel, with all the rooms being exactly the same etc but this does mean you know exactly what to expect. It is comfortable, friendly and very convenient. We will certainly return.

We spent a night here last weekend. 5 of us were booked in and it was supposed to be two rooms on the same floor three in one room and two in the other. The receptionist stated we had only put down 4 people and only backed down when we showed her our email confirming a booking for five. We then had to be split up on two different floors.
Our room was clean but only had two sockets this was a pain as three people wanting to get ready and use straighteners/ charge phones etc it was a but hectic.
Breakfast was horrible we gave up on it and went to McDonald's.
The staircase also smelt strongly of urine.

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to leaving for Ireland. It was so convenient for us. On arrival, after arriving a little early, we where told that we could leave our suitcase in a secure room, which was a great idea. Booking in was very quick, with a friendly face asking if there was anything else you needed. The room was very good, we where one of the top floors, which was very quiet. Initially there was a small problem about a cooked breakfast, due to us having to leave about 0615 in the morning, but after a word with reception, we where told a hot breakfast would be available, which it was. The breakfast was hot a very tasteful , along with a variety of other cold food. The best thing about this hotel, is the staff, everywhere you go in the hotel, they cannot do enough to make your stay a good one. Should we need a hotel in the city center again, we will definately use this one.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the top of the hotel, which is very quiet.
