“Genuinely incredible venue in an incredible setting!”
Reviewed 10 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I stayed here with my partner as part of a larger family wedding a few weeks back for a total of four nights and I genuinely can't recommend Blencowe highly enough.

Clean, well appointed and flexible along side being truly the most beautiful property set in acres of countryside. It's a really cosy and warm place despite its size and I am sure we will all be back for a holiday or similar.

Great work by the management team; clearly they have invested a lot in both time and money.

Thank you!

“Stunning family oriented wedding venue”
Reviewed 10 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We were lucky enough to stumble across The Rowley Estates two years ago when we got engaged in the Lake District. We knew that we wanted to do something different to the norm, and to have a truly family oriented wedding without the rules, requirements and restrictions of a traditional hotel wedding.

As soon as we saw Blencowe Hall we knew it was the venue for us, so much so that we never even viewed any other venues! We were blown away by the place.

Fast forward two years and we stayed from 23rd to 27th June 2016, with our wedding taking place on Saturday 25th. It was everything we dreamed of and more. Our family and friends were able to stay on site with us at the hall and surrounding cottages, which meant 44 on site guests. Our total wedding party for the Saturday was approximately 50 guests.

There wasn't a single guest who didn't comment on the beauty of the building and grounds. Everyone was awestruck. To quote one of our relatives, they have never been as blown away by a venue as they were by Blencowe Hall.

All credit is due to Christine and Charles Rowley who have clearly worked tirelessly to restore the building to its former glory, with all the 5* luxury to go with it.

The venue lends itself perfectly to family gatherings and genuinely felt like our home for the weekend. We had full run of the place and people could enjoy themselves, spend time with family and make it a weekend of real quality time with people we don't always see as much as we could.

We were lucky enough that aside from one torrential downpour, the weather was kind enough to mean that we could get married using the dining room and front lawn. It was truly lovely and special.

Throughout our planning stages Christine was always incredibly helpful and responded to all of our enquiries very quickly. The team were willing and ready to help us to create our dream day and to ensure that they did whatever they could to help with that.

We genuinely can't thank you enough.

Amazing wedding venue that we would recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Now just to plan when our return will be!

“Unforgettable stay at Blencowe Hall for our wedding”
Reviewed 24 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

My husband and I were married at Blencowe Hall at the beginning of May. We took over the entire property (Blencowe Hall plus the 3 on site cottages - Wythburn, Riverain and Cazenovia) for our family and closest friends. The whole weekend was amazing, and we could not have celebrated our wedding at a more stunning venue.

Christine, Jilly and the entire team at Blencowe Hall could not have been more helpful in the months and days leading up to the wedding to ensure everything ran smoothly.

The property and all the cottages are in fantastic condition and beautifully decorated. All our family and friends absolutely loved it. We had the ceremony and canapés on the lawn at the front of the hall, and tipis set up in the field behind.

We have already decided we would like to go back to spend Christmas there soon and will no doubt make regular visits back.

“Magical place for a special celebration”
Reviewed 24 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

My family recently stayed at Blencowe Hall to celebrate my wife's 60 th birthday . It is a spectacular place to stay . We ranged in ages from 82 to 6 months . The accomodation is of a very high standard and because of its layout is fabulous for children to play hide ans seek and adults to relax independently or as one big group . The grounds are stunning and it is situated in a lovely party of the Lake District with lots to do and see . The local village of Greystokes is very worth a visit . We had Lyn Hilditch catering on the Friday and Saturday evenings.Friday being a drop off menu that we served ourselves and Saturday a more formal dinner party which Lynn and her staff served to us . Both meals were of an excellent standard and I can recommend LynnHilditch catering wholeheartedly . We are lucky enough to be coming back to Blencowe Hall with some friends next year .

“Mother of the Bride!”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We had quite a large wedding party from 5th May - 9th May.
Blencowe Hall was full of the young ones and 3 cottages on the Estate near by were all full too.
It provided the most fantastic venue for my daughter's wedding.
I was in Wythburn Cottage - a 3 double bedroomed - 3 en-suites - a stones throw from the Hall.
Beautifully fitted out - great kitchen space - with all the mod cons you could think of - with 2 lovely outdoor seating areas.
I cannot recommend the place highly enough - for whatever the occasion might be.

“Excellent venue for family and friends”
Reviewed 5 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a wonderful weekend stay recently (our second) for my 65th birthday celebration and really enjoyed it. On the Saturday evening we had entertainment and a lovely buffet meal provided by Lynn Hilditch catering recommended by Jilly. Christine couldn't have been more helpful with requests for cots and high chairs and permission to leave our caravan on the car park to continue our holiday after Blencowe. An excellent venue in a fantastic location.
