My husband & I had a two night stay here and took our dog with us, the fact they allow dogs was the main reason we booked here. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the hotel with regards to dogs, they are allowed in the bar & grill but not the restaurant (understandably!) and a bed & water bowl can be provided. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the bed was lovely and overall very spacious with everything we needed. Tea & coffee making facilities with really good choice of drinks as well as some Sarah Nelson's gingerbread which was gorgeous. The room we had was quite warm so we slept with the windows open on the first night, the only trouble is the noisy passers-by outside did not consider people sleeping at 1.30am so we had broken sleep. We asked for a fan the next day which was produced so we closed the windows the following night & we slept much better. We ate in the bar & grill and the restaurant and the food both nights was fab as well as the service, the staff even put a candle in my husbands dessert (it was his birthday) which we thought was really nice. We felt so relaxed there and didn't want to come home, we would love to go back, will have to be next year now as they appear to be fully booked when we wish...More
