“Superb indoor play area”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

this is the best indoor play area we have been to ever, mainly because mums and dads are looked after too. The kids are in a safe enviroment and have a huge area to play in. The parents can relax in the cafe and enjoy a cup of tea or even a reasonably priced lunch. The kids are well catered for with the menu too. I cannot thank this place enough as it has saved my sanity so many times! My son is now almost 6 and still loves it. It is within walking distance of Ambleside so dads can be left whilst mum pops out shopping! There is a huge car park just round the corner (no, its not free!). Wifi, newspapers, TV also included...free!
Thank You Rufty Tuftys. x

“Lovely”
Reviewed 24 March 2013

Rufty Tuftys is nice, big, clean indoor play area. It has a large seating area for the adults which is comfortable, although it is hard to watch the children playing on the large play equipment from the majority of the seats. Well priced and has a decent menu too. Major downside is a lack of parking outside!! Parking places are very limited!!

Hi thanks for your post, i think you came when it had been snowing outside. We have now an overflow carpark next to us, i think we had problems with the snow on this occassion. We are also adjacent to a large public car park, maybe the staff didn't mention that. I will let them know. Barry

“Good if its raining”
Reviewed 7 January 2013

Hubby and I do split shifts here so the other person can go shopping and our son can enjoy himself.
Good soft play, reasonably priced, offers a good range of food and drinks and best of all FREE PARKING within walking distance of Ambleside.

“Awesome child friendly facility”
Reviewed 18 October 2012 via mobile

Best place in the lakes to take the little ones. Food is great and cheap. Brilliant soft play area for all ages. Also to keep the dads occupied, they have a womens aerobics class on the go right in front of you. Everyone wins !!!

“Rainy Day Place”
Reviewed 18 October 2012

Rufty Tufty's is a decent soft play area. I would say it's mostly aimed at babies and young children as it's not a huge place in comparison to others I have been, but it is clean and the children enjoyed the visit. There are food and drinks there, cakes are good but the coffee wasn't brilliant, but then I wasn't expecting it to be a fabulous place to eat.
Definitely a good place to go if it's raining, which it does a lot in the Lakes.
