Description: A lovely little cafe hidden off the main street of ambleside. Tucked away in the artists courtyard under the archway next to the climbing wall. We went in for breakfast, being the only place we could find open at 8.30 in the morning, and we weren't dissappointed. it was absolutely lovely, and very reasonably priced. The lunch menu looked really interesting and a little bit different from the rest of the cafes in ambleside though we didn't manage to get back to try it. We did though get back to sample the homemade cakes!!! I had the victoria sandwich and my boyfriend had the coffee and walnut.....both delicious. You can sit inside or outside in the courtyard. We would reccomend this place to all and will definately be returning when we're next in town.

“just what we wanted!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2011

Was in Ambleside looking for a late lunch and stumbled across the arty courtyard Coco's is set in. I had a hearty baguette with brie and med veg - Yum! a special raspberry homemade drink and finished off with a trio of cakes - all homemade. Was all delicious and just what we fancied after a morning on the hills. Coco's is not your normal cafe in Ambleside. Tucked away in a small courtyard just off the main drag its atmosphere is welcoming/homely and kitsh - just as you imagine from the Lake District. Liz ( the owner) is really making this place work and we wish her all the luck with her venture. We'll definately be back when we're next up! Thanks Coco's!
