“Another great stay at the regent”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

Another great trip to the lakes at the regent, my partner booked this as a birthday present. Great hotel, friendly and kind staff, breakfast brilliant and loads of it!, and you can have it till 12 so you can be lazy and stay in bed. Meals in the restaurant are superb and the bar area after dinner is quiet and comfortable. The only drawback this time is we forgot to ask for a room with a bath, as its whats needed after a long day in the fells!. this will not stop us returning to this great hotel again. We like to visit them at least twice a year.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front by the road are quite noisy and if fell walking and you prefer a bath and shower...

We've not been to The Regent for a few years and decided to go back as we had enjoyed it in the past. We were not disappointed. The breakfast was as great as we remembered, something for everyone. And as it's served 'til 12 you don't need to get up just because the chef says so. We also ate in the restaurant at night and this too was fantastic.
We really enjoyed watching the wild Roe Deer from our room, but not sure if this can be guaranteed.
The staff were as friendly and as helpful as ever, nothing is too much trouble. Full marks to this family run hotel that seems to look after its staff as well as its customers. Yep we remembered some and they remembered us too.
Highly recommended

This is a fantastic hotel.. Everything about it was good we couldn't complain about anything. We got an upgrade which was even better. The breakfast must have been the best we have had at a hotel, a huge choice. The staff were really nice and helpful.
Well done and we will be back.
It's not in the heart of the town centre which means it's quiet but it's only a 10 min walk if that but it's right next to the water.

Just got back from a two night stay at the Regent Hotel. We stayed in the sail loft, would highly recommend this room, the view over lake Windermere was wonderful and the spa bath a real treat. Staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for you. Will be returning to this beautiful hotel.

Room Tip: Stay in the Sail Loft

The receptionist told us they were dog friendly and she was right. Our courtyard room had direct access to the gardens and we then had wonderful views of the lake. We were able to take our two elderly ladies in the bar which they always think wonderful.

Restaurant food first class including food and service.

We have booked to return in the Autumn. Only petty fault was no bath, but so what.

Room Tip: With a pet we would recommend the ground floor.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter to celebrate my daughters 40th birthday. What a little gem, perfect location by the lake and ideal for getting out and about around the area. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food in the restaurant supurb and the breakfast ......... well all I can say is Yum! Yum! so tasty and what a choice. The young lady that served us at breakfast [Viktoria] was attentive without being intrusive, top marks for service.my granddaughter and I stayed in room 16, small but comfy, the bed nice and firm, water always hot and radiator I could control myself, I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
