This is a wonderful place to visit with every rock /gems/jewellery you could wish to see.A truly fascinating place where children can sit/play in amongst gems and fill their own bags to take away.Lots of wonderful gifts etc. The only downside for me is that dogs are allowed inside(seems to be the norm everywhere we went) I do not agree with it.I was unfortunate enough to be "attacked" and charged at by a small yapping dog,and although on a lead the owner was ignoring what it was doing. There were lots of children in there at the time. I'm just glad it didn't go for a child.Otherwise excellent place, worth a visit.
Absolutely shocking customer service.
The lady at the desk was extremely rude and unhelpful.
She gave us no direction on where to go or how to pay.
We ended up leaving with our children.
She completely ruined our day.
Hi
I’m very sorry to hear this and intend to investigate the incident further. What day did you visit?
Thank you
Jonathan
Great place for a youngster who loves collecting stones and fossils. Our 6year old grandson really enjoyed his visit.
Very fun! We drove an hour to Ambleside after seeing the shop on TikTok. It was relatively quiet when we visited. The crystal pit is reasonably priced. We would recommend visiting if you are passing or plan on visiting Ambleside.
I loooooooved visiting the rock shop today with my boyfriend. I got a rose quartz necklace and I’m so chuffed with it. Can’t wait to go back 😄
Tried to get near rock pit but couldn't as rude mothers with too many kids and dogs blocking the way. Maybe a sign put up to remind people to allow others to get a look in would work?
