Stayed for two nights in mid February. Greeted by George who sorted parking and the room. Very clean, nicely presented room. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Could not ask for a better location: close to the restaurants, Windermere and start of many walks. George even shared some of his maps. The breakfast is outstanding too!

Owners were friendly and the accommodation was nice and clean although the bed was a little hard. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for everyone. As it is situated on a road with time limited parking there is parking available near the local church (2 minute walk) arranged by the b&b owners which is ok. Although the weather was not the best we had a nice time as the village has a good selection of restaurants and friendly bars. Would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: ask for room 8 with kingsize bed and room looks over the mountains (also top floor so very quiet)

Wow! What a fabulous B & B. A fantastic informative and warm welcome from George on arrival. Extremely clean, warm and tastefully decorated throughout. A good idea of ordering breakfast the night before ensuring any request is catered for.Fresh ingredients for breakfast and a variety of choice, cooked extremely well. Nothing too much trouble for the proprietor. Will definitely return and can easily recommend to others. Perfect.

Room Tip: All are great

Everything about this place oozes class. An immaculate b & b with individually decorated rooms (all en-suite naturally) and located in the heart of Ambleside- but far enough from the main road to ensure a deep and relaxing sleep.
Breakfast was bespoke - you can fill in a form which in is your room, and request any combination of locally sourced fayre. George and Lindsay have a wealth of local knowledge and are more than happy to help you locate the walk/pub/restaurant which meets your needs.
