“Peaceful Setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

My husband and I had a lovely meal at this converted fulling mill in the centre of Ambleside. It was soothing watching the machinery go silently around powered by the millwheel outside. The food did not disappoint either and was good value for the quality provided. Wine reasonably priced too. Service was pleasant and efficient and we both enjoyed our experience here. Highly recommend.

“Good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Dined here Sat eve having booked a table for 7pm. Greeted by friendly staff and taken to a table on the middle level. Restaurant is lovely with exposed beams and waterwheel. my starter of prawns and chorizo was very good and I can recommend the shepherds pie made with slow cooked shredded lamb shanks. I can echo the comments of another reviewer....The lemon tart and raspberry sorbet is superb. Worth a visit when in Ambleside.

“What a delicious tart...!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014 via mobile

I have previously visited this restaurant when it was The Glass House. So thought I'd give The Fulling Mill a try. It's a quaint place to eat with the mills cogs and wheels working around you! The food was delicious and most of all the pudding, Lemon Tart with a raspberry sorbet in a brandy snap basket, yum yum yum yum yum- could have eaten that again! Delicious!

“Sunday Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

This Restaurant has changed its name, it used to be The Glass House. We looked at the menu, and it seems to be reasonably priced considering the Lakes general prices. They serve Sunday lunch from 1200 to 1430. We were impressed, the meal was very good, they certainly have a Chef who knows how to make Yorkshire Pudding. Everything was cooked just right. The staff were pleasant, and we enjoyed our Lunch. Another visit is on the cards.
