This is the second year we have holidayed in ambleside and visited this restaurant. The food again was good Italian fare. We sat upstairs, our waitress unfortunately seemed a little unfriendly to start. After a lot if effort from us, she said' I'm having a really busy shift, normally I will smile through it, but not today!'. Not the best start. Admittedly later in the evening she said' the rush is over so I'm feeling better now'. Although we were happy for her it seemed a strange way for a waitress to carry on. I wonder how will she did with her tips that evening!. The evening then took another strange turn when a projector screen was put up and a film of Judy garlands '.meet me in st Louis was put on' all a bit strange as we then had to continue our conversation in hushed tones so as to not disturb other diners watching the film. Overall we had a good meal, our waitress cheered up and the bizarre showing of a film gave us and our teenage kids something to chuckle about. Would return again, more because of our previous visits though.
