Food was lovely as it always is, plenty of room to get a table though noticed other diners were put off by a large group that had been allowed to sprawl across a number of tables. Staff didn't seem interested perhaps because it wasn't very busy that day. Lovely atmosphere, would always recommend.

My overall experience was average at the Castle Pub, I personally feel the main course dishes are too big with only being a small eater I could not manage it.

We came to the castle bar to eat out one evening with living close in the area, once we got there it was quite busy and there was not a lot of seating. We therefore chose to sit up stairs, which left me and another couple disorientated with no were to sit. The staff members then came up and asked what we was doing, rather than if we wanted to be sited for dinner.

Once we were seated we did not like our table, we then moved and then our meal came.

The food was lovely, the castle bar was quiet clean.

Overall, if you are just looking for a quick stop and go meal, then this is perfect for you.

A pleasant place for a pint and food, particularly the elevated outdoor terrace. There is a good menu. Be warned, the dishes are enormous. Unfortunately the meals were let down by a salad that had obviously been standing around for a while (horrible decaying lettuce) and overcooked soggy vegetabls. Better attention to detail needed!
