“Tidy, quiet YHA”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Perfect for an overnight pit stop, the property is dated but it is kept very clean and tidy and we where informed it was ran by volunteers who do a fantastic job. You have be back in by 11.00 pm on an evening but that was not a problem for us.

The kitchen had everything you needed if you where to cook for yourself, the village is about a 15 minute walk away to the local pubs and restaurants.

We where a group of 6 girls the women's dorm slept 10 (5 bunk beds) we felt very safe and had no problems at all, would defiantly revisit again if in the area.

Room Tip: If you are in a large group get there as early as possible to get bunk beds next to each other

Hello there
Thank you for your very fair review.. and sorry it took me so long to respond - I have only just learn't how to do so.
I remember you and your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed it - I, in return, enjoyed you staying. I think your comments are very constuctive.. and helpful to other people.

I'm actually pleased you mentioned a possible negative point - that this hostel has a curfew. To some this could be a problem, and I really appreciate that you took the 'restriction' and were OK with it.
Yes, we do have a curfew.. as you pointed out very nicely, this is a 'quiet' hostel, Most people staying here are walkers, cyclists and like the 'close down', so we tend to see it as a posative. Many of the bigger hostels have staff to cover late night access, so there are places for everyone to be happy
Thanks again, and I would be delighted to see you again.
