We were upgraded free of charge to a huge room at the front of the hotel. Very nice Bathroom tiny and a little tired. Biggest TV I've seen in any hotel room ! Lovely people, lots of local information. Top breakfast. Recommended.

We were looking for a small venue to hold approx 25 to 30 people for our wedding reception. we happened upon the Allerdale Court hotel, Kay offered us a small back bar leading to a dinning area via some steps, we both immediately knew that for us this was perfect.
Kay and her staff bent over backwards to ensure we had a fabulous day, nothing was too much trouble, we had a lot of comments from our gusts who were pleasantly surprised at the relaxed ambiance & how good the food was! The chef did us proud.
All of our guests had a great day!
We stayed over as did other guests the rooms we were given were as good as anywhere we've stayed and the breakfast was without doubt the best cooked breakfast we've had. So Kay and staff thank you all so very much for our exceptional day!

The owner and staff are very good, nothing too much trouble, bedrooms dated, but had a new bathroom that was very good. Evening meal was very average and over priced.
Fantastic breakfast so much on the plate could have fed three not one.

A glorious bank holiday weekend and we sat outside in the sunshine having a rest and taking in all those rays.

We ordered food and drinks. The young lady behind the bar was really nice and friendly and she had not ben working there long.

I thought the drinks were a tad expensive £10.10 for a pint of Cider and a large white wine. But I have to say the food was excellent. I had a BLT and the wife had a Prawn sandwich. The BLT was the best I have ever had. Loads of ingredients on lovely fresh wholemeal bread. It was delightful. The wife was also very happy with the amount of prawns she got on hers and the side order of chips were also very nice, dry and crispy.

Worth a visit but don't drink too much it might empty your wallet.

Great location for hill walking in the lakes. Cockermouth feels like a proper working town dominated by locals, unlike tourist stalwarts, such as Windermere or picture postcard Grasmere. Allerdale Court Hotel is ideally positioned in the town. The seats outside provide a lovely sun spot to enjoy liquid refreshment and watch the flow of glad rags into the Castle Bar next door. The Prosecco deal on Friday is great value! The staff at the hotel are friendly, efficient and helpful. Our family, including dog, stayed for three nights and were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast fry each morning was excellent. The rooms were solid, with free Wi-Fi, but not luxury. The bathrooms were clean, if a little dated, with the showers a bit underpowered for my liking. To be clear, this did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable break.

Good breakfast in the morning with lots of choice but unfortunately we were given quite a shabby & dated bedroom. I don't think it was worth nearly £100 a night for a weekend stay. Good central location within Cockermouth with Pay & Display car park nearby.

The Allerdale is good value, the rooms are fine and the breakfast excellent. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the hotel is located in a great spot in the centre of Cockermouth. The restaurant looked good for food although I did not eat there as I had a previous engagement
