We visited this property with no pre-conceived ideas and were very pleasantly surprised. Our visit commenced with an informative & amusing talk on the less salubrious aspects of Wordsworth's times presented by a knowledgeable staff member dressed as a period maid. The House is modest in size compared to some but is full of interest & information on Wordsworth. The gardens are compact with heritage chickens running free and views over the river. On a sunny warm day, lovely. A small but adequate tea room on the first floor provided a very welcome comfort stop. Well worth a visit.
