Excellent guest house situated in quiet location just a short walk from Coniston village. The owners were perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble, and with a huge knowledge of the local walks, activities, eating places, attractions, etc. The lounge/dining area was lovely, attractive decor, light and airy with an amazing view across the fields to the Old Man of Coniston. Comfortable room, plenty of hot water. It was the small touches that we really appreciated - a tray for dirty shoes, high speed hair dryer, flowers on the table, linen napkins ( not paper ones!), etc. We enjoyed staying at the Bluebird and would certainly stay here again.
