“Stunning!”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We did the walk to and around Tarn Hows from our B&B (Summer Hill Country House) in Hawks Head.

We walked for the better part of a day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The whole region is stunningly beautiful.

“Good for family walks”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

Try and walk here if possible as the car park charges are a rip off! Great walk and achievable by most (even wheelchair friendly). Picture postcard stuff! Bring your camera.

We stumbled across this and it was the highlight of the trip - beautiful spot and well maintained by the National Trust as is all of the Lakeland Park

“Stunning views & great for families with a pram!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

We looked for places to go in the Lake District for families with a pram. Tarn Hows was recommended and didn't disappoint. There is a path that circles the entire lake and there are some great places to sit and have a picnic. The views are stunning and my 4 year old also loved it. A clean, lovely place and definitely one to visit if you have small children.

Bring some change for the parking meter though!
