Description: Our traditional village pub, the Lamb Inn, the only one in Grasmere Village places a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce for pub food too. The bar is well stocked with many names you'll recognise - making it one of the best real ale pubs too! Real Ales include: Hawkshead Bitter, Hawkshead Red, Hawkshead Windermere Pale, Jennings Cumberland Ale, EPA, Black Sheep, Dent and Golden Sheep. Pub Food: The Lamb Inn serves some of the finest pub food in the Lake District, with something to tempt all appetites. Enjoy a combination of locally sourced hearty traditional pub main course classics to lighter snacks and delicious homemade afternoon teas.

Poor service poor food uninterested staff. Ate here and ordered starter which came with hummus was brought a plate with no hummus and no explanation ! When we enquired we were told simply "none left" ! Given an extra hunk of stale bread as a replacement when we asked for something to replace hummus. Burgers for main course average but rationed to 2 onion rings ! Staff completely uninterested and inattentive

Very dated interior and the food was some what overly priced for the tourists...but, they didn't seem to mind it was oozing with them!

The choice of cask beer is great. We had a meal in the bar.The food less so. My friend's vegetable hot pot was a few winter veg in the contents of a can of tomato soup with a bit of cream and three sad dumplings on the top. The steak and ale pie and fish and chips looked better value for money. The service was excellent.

Didn't eat here, as we had a reservation at the hotel so we just visited for a few drinks in the evening.
Nice lively bar, good atmosphere.

A lovely pub meal, well served, just what was needed after a long day. Good value too, not too far to walk from our B&B which was an added bonus . . . if you are staying at Beck Allans B&B you get a discount on presenting a card from Beck Allans making it even better value.
