Chestnut Villa has a charm and style that just makes you relax.
The breakfast is delicious, they cook what you ask for.
The decoration is contemporary, very smart and made by a perfectionist A small detail was forgotten though, a shelf in the bathroom is kinda in the way when you try to wash your face/teeth. The person who checked us in (Mark?) was soooo friendly! It's 5min away from city center and you have free parking too!
It was so nice, I could stay there forever! :)

Room Tip: 5min walking from Grasmere main street

We stayed in the Junior Suite which is just wonderful especially after a day of walking the fells. A lot of attention has been given to decorating this room to a high standard. It is more akin to a really trendy boutique hotel. The big bathroom with overhead rain shower was bliss. The bed is cloud like. Would definitely stay again.
Easy walk into Grasmere, and well placed for walks in the Grasmere Lake/valley area.

Room Tip: Junior Suite for luxury and comfort.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the B&B. Everything about it was perfect. Lovely friendly hosts. The room was clean and beautiful, and so contemporary whilst being full of personality. The bed was so comfortable and the bedding was of great quality. There was hot drinks facilities, a hair dryer, bottled water, a radio and a huge television. The bathroom was also lovely with a free standing bath and access to an outside balcony type area. The breakfast was fantastic quality and had everything you needed to fill up for a day in the lakes (including peanut butter!). It's a short 5 minute walk into Grasmere village down the little lane and it's in a great place to be a starting point for the surrounding walks. We did Alcock tarn, a short but steep 3 mile walk up the mountain opposite the B&B that offered fantastic views. I would recommend this place to everyone and it will be the only place we stay when we return to this area of the Lake District. We felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay and it was the perfect place to enjoy a short break.

Chestnut villa sits on the edge of Grasmere village and has free parking on site. A 5 minute stroll will take you into the heart of the village. The B&B rooms are spacious and well maintained and have coffee and tea makers, tv and radio all available. A cooked breakfast is always available along with a choice of cereals to start your day. Would definitely recommend this B&B if your in the area.

We stopped for two nights at the Chestnut Villa. Looks can be deceiving! From the front it looks pretty standard but when you walk in you are welcomed by Mike who is a perfect friendly host. The rooms are lovely and decorated to a high standard with a great eye for interior design. Room 3 is a standard room and has very thing you require and the bed was perfect we had a great sleep. Breakfast was also great, with a good selection of cereals etc and the cooked breakfast was perfect! We will definitely return !
