Me and my mum have just returned from a lovely 2 night stay here. We arrived to a warm welcome and a well equipped room. Little touches like fresh milk, a mini fridge and wine glasses were appreciated. The room was clean, spacious and warm! The period fire place, furniture and decor were lovely. Breakfast was yummy (especially pancakes!) eaten next to an open fire. The hotel is situated next to the lake and a short walk from the village. It was not my mums first time here and we will be back!

My husband and I have just returned from a 1 night stay at How Foot Lodge - and I can honestly say I wish we were still there. The sun room is amazing - it is a really big room with a comfy bed and a lovely couch. Kate kindly put a heater in the room which was great as its a big beautiful old home it was a bit nippy when we first arrived -however we were snug in no time. Breakfast was beautiful - sat next to a roaring log fire. We cant wait to go back again. Highly recommend.

From the moment we stepped in the door we loved this place. Warm, tastefully decorated in a no fuss earthy way with a friendly welcome from Kate. We wished we could stay a week. Lovely breakfast in an authentic and homely space. Big room, lovely bathroom and everything we needed. Perfect.

We had yet another short break here last week and it really is home from home.Rooms are clean, spacious and individual.Breakfasts are superb and we can see no point in staying at an impersonal 3 or 4 star hotel when this little gem is available.Kate is a brilliant host and nothing is too much trouble.Cant wait until our next visit. This B&B cannot be rated highly enough.Go there and you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Howfoot Lodge for one night only but will be back for longer.
What a great place, comfy bed, marvellous breakfast, wonderful view, spacious room.
Kate is a very welcoming host. She allowed us to park our car here for three days whilst we did a walk. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Thanks Kate.
