Do not be fooled by the drab exterior, the interior is fab. The ceiling interesting construction, it is like the church was widened in an interesting way. Read some of the inscriptions on the boards on the walls, interesting.

The church in the centre of Grasmere is quiet and peaceful, but the main attraction is the family grave of the Wordsworth family.
Easily accessible and a quick visit to both church and graves are interesting .

Beautiful understated church with a charm all of its own, the bringing in of the rushes ceremony had been held the day before we came so the church inside looked amazing

This local church probably has one of the most famous graveyards in the country with the Wordsworth family graves. It always seems amazing that despite being in the centre of a busy Lake District tourist destination, the Church and its adjoining grounds seem so quiet and peaceful.
The Church itself has a fascinating interior and it's worth taking time to have a close look at some of the architectural features.
The location, surrounded by the fells and alongside the river is particularly beautiful. Spend some time here....it's worth it.
