Arrived after a wet days walk to a warm hospitable welcome. Our wet waterproofs were hung up by the fire to dry. Drying boots is more problematic and is not the only place where this is a problem. Even in the hottest of drying rooms we were still pulling on wet boots in the morning.
The bed was comfortable and the room warm, not complaints. The shared bathroom is just across the hall and not a problem. Guests have the use of a downstairs lounge with a fire. This is also where breakfast is served. Lovely breakfast. Only slight down side is the lack of guest WiFi and a bit of a walk back into town. This means though that you are back on the C2C in about 5 minutes as it is a downhill walk to the path. Jackie and Donald are friendly hostsMore
