Had a 3 night stay, could not fault it, owners friendly, room excellent with every convenience we could ever need, all high quality toiletries etc. First rate breakfast with wide choice of fresh ingredients - a real 'all day breakfast', perfectly cooked and well presented.
Location is perfect, quiet lane but short easy walk into the village which has ample choice of restaurants for dinner. Nice garden to relax in with private access to the lake shore with spectacular views.
We chose well when we stayed here and will not hesitate to return when next visiting the Lake District.

Have just got home from a really lovely stay here. We stayed in the Azalea apartment which was just great for us as it gave us plenty of space for us and our dogs, and was great to have our own private access with parking space right outside our own door :-) The apartment was lovely and very clean and had absolutely everything that we could possibly need, nothing is too much trouble and the owners obviously care very much about making sure that their guests have the best facilities. The breakfasts were great, lots of choice and everything was just the best quality food, and cooked to perfection! Was lovely to meet Michelle, and Brock of course!! Michelle was so friendly and welcoming and made sure we had the perfect stay here. We will most certainly be returning when we visit the Lakes again, and would most definitely recommend :-) Thanks again Michelle, was "just perfect" for us! Jackie & Andy (Kesi, Kofie & Karys) x

Had a fantastic week long stay here, we stayed in the Bluebell apartment and the rooms were very clean and well appointed. Michelle and Steve made us very welcome upon our arrival and we felt like part of the family. Enjoyed the breakfasts with lots of choice. Situated right in the heart of the village but down a quiet lane. We will return and will also highly recommend to family and friends.

My husband and I stayed in The Garden Suite with our dog for 2 nights.
The owners of this B&B are wonderful people- extremely friendly, knowledgable, helpful. They also have a dog called Brock who is adorable!
Our room was extremely clean and for a B&B we felt had extremely good facilities within the room. There was a small fridge, a torch, foot spa, the shower was very powerful! Lovely local bath products provided.
The bedroom was a twin bed room, but we pushed the beds together to make it a double. The breakfast was beautiful! Lots and lots of choice - cereals, nuts, fruit, dried fruit, cooked breakfast, toast, coffee, tea, fresh orange and grapefruit juice!
The B&B is set back off the road a few minutes walk from the centre of Grasmere.
We really enjoyed ourselves staying here, it was so quiet at nighttime. It's a very relaxed, easy going environment. Good value for money. Highly recommended!!!

Room Tip: We didn't see all the rooms just the Garden View Suite which was great for the money!

Just got back home from a 2 night stay in the Ivory Room at the Lake View Country House and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It's brilliantly placed down a quiet private road only minutes away from the centre of the village.

The room itself was lovely, with everything you'd need including a nice selection of teas and coffee. The power shower was great and the body jets and foot spa, although we didn't use them, were excellent added touches.

The house itself is lovely and the only noises you can hear are from the birds. Really relaxing and lovely to get away from it all. The short walk down to the shore of the lake is well worth it and gives a lovely view.

The breakfast is completely customisable, with a good cooked vegetarian option and gluten free diets are also easily catered for too.

Last, but by no means least, the owners are lovely and really chatty and approachable. We got the impression that nothing is too much trouble for them and both Michelle and Steve were happy to give advice on restaurants, cafes, walks and other local amenities.

If we're ever back in Grasmere we'll have no hesitation in going back to Lake View Country House.

We have just returned from a two night break staying in the Fellside suite. Had lovely views over the fields and to the lake. Were very fortunate to see the badgers and also saw a kingfisher and an otter whilst sitting down by the lake. The breakfasts were fantastic and the dining room really lovely and with a great atmosphere. The owner makes everyone feel at home and extremely welcome. We would love to return.
