“Lovely spot in a beautiful part of the world”

We visited the Lakes to meet up with friends who were based in Grasmere. The property was easy to find, though there was a delay in receiving the final instructions and we received them on the way to the Lakes.
The facilities were what was needed with a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and excellent shower. There is no internet access and very little phone reception, so not a place to visit if you require these. Otherwise it is in a great position with easy access to Hawkshead and Ambleside. Great venue for cycling trips.

This cottage provided a very well-equipped, cosy and quiet base for trips out to our favourite haunts. Would love to return soon!

“A lovely place to rest after an adventurous day”
Reviewed 14 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

I went with my boyfriend for our anniversary weekend and this place was just perfect! Lots of walks, pubs and little villages to visit in the area. The best thing was definitely the log fire, it was a bit cold when we got there but it was very easy to chuck some logs on the fire and the cottage warmed up in no time! A very peaceful, relaxing and beautiful get away, we loved it!

“Lovely place for a romantic getaway!”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This is a very cosy cottage which has all the amenities you would expect. It's a short walk over the countryside to Hawkshead which has a co-op and plenty of nice pubs. The location is great for country walks (I recommend a walk up to latterbarrow for some stunning scenery) and a short drive from Grasmere, Windemere and Ambleside. Couldn't have asked for a more ideal place for a fantastic Lake District holiday!

“Peaceful and relaxing”
Reviewed 15 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Cottage was a bit more isolated than I had expected, but was well equipped and quiet. It is very close to Outgate Inn and Hawkeshead is only a couple of miles away. There are walking tracks close by, but a survey map is required to know where these go to.
We used the cottage as a base and made trips to Hawkeshead, Coniston, Ambleside and Keswick. We especially enjoyed the lakeside walks.
