Stayed here as part of a Wowcher deal, good value for money, especially the high tea available on either day of your stay, we choose to have the day of arrival. Later enjoyed a very nice evening meal and would thoroughly recommended trying the Haggis/Black pudding stack, although ended up just us a couple in the whole pub. Saturday we spent the whole day in and around Windermere visiting different sights and decided upon tea out at a gorgeous chippy near Lake Windermere which is fully recommended. Rooms were comfortable albeit a little small, shower took a while to warm up within an extremely small shower cubicle. The staff were nice and nothing bothered them. Breakfast was served as a full English which included everything you could expect ... gorgeous.

We had finished visiting a garden in Cumbria and were heading back to Roberton, Scotland, and we stopped for a nosh at the Gilpin Bridge Pub. The staff at the bar were very friendly and this put us all in a good state of mind for Hi Tea and a mug of ale.

We enjoyed the fish & chips along with a mug of lovely ale and then the cakes arrived on multi-level cake plates. By then many of my fellow travelers were 'done' as they say so I had a good selection of cakes to choose from. I had a couple and that was it for me as well. Great hi tea and great place to relax and enjoy the moment with our new friends from Roberton.

We will stop at the Glipin Bridge Inn on our next trip without a doubt.

Room Tip: Stay in the pub if they'll let you do that. The ambiance is great and the libations are nearby!

We had a fantastic time. The room was very comfortable. The location is within a short car ride from everything through glorious countryside. We stayed 2 nights and will be returning again. The food was delicious and the staff very nice and nothing was a bother for them. We can highly recommend the accommodation, the food, the staff and also the location.
