“Lakeland's finest brew pub.”
Reviewed 24 December 2012

One of my very favourite Lakeland pubs - it has everything. Excellent food, lovely setting, great staff and the finest of beers to savour. Very difficult to drive past!

“Lovely traditional pub”
Reviewed 24 December 2012 via mobile

We popped in for lunch on our way back from a weekend in bowness just down the road. It's a fantastic traditional pub and was a lovely atmosphere, particularly with the fire on!

I highly recommend the roast beef sandwich; good value with tender beef and lots of it!

We wished we'd have known about it beforehand as we would definitely have liked to spend an evening here soaking up the atmosphere with a few of their own ales!

“Food beer Food”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

Often call in at the Watermill at Ings village Windermere the food is outstanding and the wife is more than happy to sample their range of brewed on the premises beers, we have also stayed in the upstairs B&B apartments and had no complaints at all,
We like the watermill because as well as fantastic range of food the bar side is dog friendly and even if alright with the owners feed the dogs biscuits,
If you dont want the dogs there is a dog free restaurant on the right as you walk in,
During the summer we have in the past made the 400 mile roundtrip just for the day out and a Watermill dinner,

“Excellent Traditional Pub with own Brewery!”
Reviewed 11 December 2012

We found this place through our local radio station (Lakeland Radio) and what a find it was!
Traditional Olde Worlde pub with their own brewery out the back. Some great real ales which I can't recommend highly enough. Aslo an array of other real ales (Theakstons Old Peculiar is fantastic) all kept in tip top shape. The food is also good value for money and staff are all pleasent and friendly. We headed there on the bike last time (mid winter) and the real fire, low ceiling, beams and general atmos made for a perfect evening.

“Well Worth A Visit”
Reviewed 10 December 2012

We stopped off at the Watermill recently for lunch & ventured back in the evening for supper. The food is excellent & the menu has a good selection to cater for all tastes. The staff are pleasant & we didn't have to wait ages for our food! It is well worth trying the fine range of ales on offer, we took a case of 'Colliewobbles' back to Scotland which is one is the best ales you will get in a bottle!
