My Husband and l stayed for 3 nights 6 July, We were not happy with the first room offered (only personal prefference) lady at reception gave us another room without any quibble whatsoever, this was the only minor negative l can give. Spotlessly clean, food was superb and by far the best staff l have come across for a long time, every one of them seemed happy in what they were doing and were genuinly interested in trying to make your stay memorable which they certainly did. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. We had room 266 which is quite a way from reception but a lovely room and really quiet, just what we like. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Coming from the midlands, we like the fact that the Hotel is just a few miles off the M6, still in the Lakes but not right in the middle of the hussle and bustle like the Hotels in Windemere etc, again only personal preference but when you've had a busy day out l like to get back and relax. Swimming pool great, actually big enough to do some lengths, changing rooms spotless and little spin dryer thingy for the wet costumes, great touch.
Thanks again to all staff for a wonderful stay and we will be back again without a doubtMore
