Ate here with my husband after hearing rave reviews.
Ordered the sharing nachos to start. They were all very much 'the bottom of the bag' nachos, more like crumbs rather than large nachos. Needed more melted cheese. I make better nachos and dips myself at home! It's not difficult and you don't need to be a chef to do it !
For a main course I had lamb pie with veg and new potatoes. The pie was ok, meat quite tender and a nice puff pastry crust. The gravey was too ' gloopy'. The new potatoes weren't new. They were large white potatoes cut into quarters.
My husband had fish with chilli dressing, 'new' potatoes and salad.
The food overall was average. For one starter and 2 mains and 2 pints of beer the bill was £35.
The place was quite busy for a Thursday night in mid October. A couple on the adjacent table sent both their meals back. We ate all ours but won't be going back.
