We visit Kendal about every 2 months and always eat lunch here. The atmosphere is relaxed & you don't need to make a reservation. Food is marked up on a blackboard and is good honest basic fare with no pretensions of being anything else. the staff are cheery and welcoming and they serve a broad selection of meat and vegetable dishes.casseroles and grills with fresh vegetables, soups, sandwiches, scones, etc As a Chef, I don't believe they use any frozen food here .so If you just need a good basic home- cooked style lunch or just a snack with coffee you will have no complaints here. enjoy !
