We had one night here just before Easter weekend. We often stop here meeting family for meals but this was our first stay. What a wonderful experience it was! Beautiful room, very comfortable bed and a freshly cooked breakfast., I would highly recommend this hotel . Every member of staff are so pleasant and helpful What more can you ask for!

Had our wedding here last month, staff couldn't do enough to help, they were brilliant. Rooms for our guests were all well received with not one negative from anyone. Food was of an excellent quality and really enjoyed. Would certainly stay again

Stayed just one night over the Easter period. The room was quiet and very spacious, lovely large bathroom with a shower/bath, 32" television and a bed to die for. It was obviously two singles together and it felt so much larger than a king-size bed. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. I have already recommended the Hotel to my friends in Kendal for the use of visitors and will obviously stay again.

We enjoyed a two night stay and found the deal offerred by the hotel exceptional value. The restaurant provides excellent food mostly of traditional dishes but with plenty of variety and good class local produce. The room was very comfortable and maintained to a high standard. The location provides easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Daels. We could not find fault with any aspect standard of the service/facilities. We will most definately return.

We stayed here 2 nights and enjoyed it. The food was very good and not expensive.
The Cumbrian breakfasts were amazing and they even had a fish course for pescatarians.
The staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome.

I award Crooklands Hotel a very good 4 Stars. Thank you!

Our 3rd visit and it's now becomimg a regular must-stay hotel, and would be a great half-way stop for journeys from the south of the country to Scotland!
Well situated at Junction 36 of the M6, and extremely handy for explorations near and far within the Southern Lakes area.
The owners, Charles and June, are always very welcoming, ably assisted by Viv their son-in-law and by great staff including Mark and Karen who are always friendly and helpful.
Accommodation is exceptionally comfortable, and the food, in a choice of two locations is 'seriously' good, having had a drink in the bar by the open fire first !

We stayed a Saturday night as we were visiting friends in the locality. I called up to enquire about room availabilty and was quoted £110 for a double with breakfast. I told the lady I spoke to that I had the laterooms website open and could buy the room for £98 - she suggested that we could have the room at that price.

Our superior double was clean - albeit a little tired. Breakfast was fine and staff friendly.

In my opinion the hotel is quite expensive for the quality of rooms, however I acknowledge that the location and lack of competition in the area no doubt enables them to charge premium rates.
