Visiting the Kendal area and wanted a lunch venue children friendly as we had two with us. We were prepared to go to the nearby Asda but noticed the ice cream farm on the nearby roundabout. Glad we called, this is a working farm with a small playbarn for the children. The barn is a bit 'tired' but kept the three year old very happy in the sandpit. Hand cleaning facilities were available and then we had a good choice for lunch which could be eaten inside the cafe or outside in the garden which had lots of toys there. The food was cooked to order so there was a wait for it but the garden and toys kept the children happy and the garden was nice and quiet. We had a light lunch, soup, Brie melted sandwich and ham sandwich, all of which were very good. The bubblegum ice cream cornet also went down well! Glad we didn't go to Asda.
