Met up with some friends from out of town so wanted somewhere easy for them to find and also a local rather than a chain coffee shop. It's a distinctive old fashioned black and white building on Highgate, the main street through the centre of Kendal. Lots of seating both up and down stairs, and outside. Quirky old building with wonky floors, and old wooden furniture. Good selection of coffees, teas and food to choose from. Friendly and efficient staff. We had a slight mix up with our order as the waitress obviously didn't quite hear what we said. Not a big issue to sort it out though. happy to have dogs in as well. You can also buy loose tea and coffee from their large selection to take away with you.
