waking up each morning to coffee with the most heavenly view over the Lake District countryside of rolling hills and farmland was a wonderful way to relax in Yaffles, highly recommended for its spaciousness, garden opening out on to farmland with cows and sheep, view over the hills and country lane situation
A second visit to the wonderful Yaffles. A beautiful and relaxing home from home in a very relaxing setting but very close to amenities and attractions. A second visit but I'm certain not the last.
Quiet, private location but not isolated.5 minutes from Asda to get your weekly shop in. Walks from the door. We did a circular from the cottage along the old aqueduct to Sedgwick and then back up along Barrows green lane. Levens gardens are just a short drive away and well worth a visit. Veiws from the cottage are amazing. This is our third visit with our elderly mums. Access to Cottage by a couple of steps with a hand rail but my 86 year old mum managed without any difficulty.
Hear only the sound of sheep, cows, birds and the occasional train that passes through at the end of the field. Our dogs loved the enclosed garden and would spend the whole day in it and while the sun shone so did we.
Well what can I say except a massive Thank You. We found it difficult to find someone who would allow us our three dogs..and Alison did.
We were a group of 8 adults and all said wow as soon as we arrived..the views from every window are amazing. The bed rooms are huge and very very clean with comfy beds and beautiful linen you even get towels too..never had that before. The showers are powerful and hot water is constant ( been places were the hot water runs out after one shower). The gardens are kept beautiful with bird feeders a pleasure to sit and watch the birds that come to visit. There is games for the little ones to use with plenty of jigsaws if the weather is wet. Theres a pub a short 10min walk away called the Punch Bowl ok for a quick pub meal (we did win the pub quizz that night) with a pool table and plenty of different drinks to choose from.
The Helm is a short walk away and great to walk up even for the unfit of us. The views from there are breath taking.
As it was my Husbands 50th Birthday we treated oursleves to a meal out to a hotel a 15 min drive away called The Villa. Well worth the visit even if you call in for coffee.
So Thank you once again Alison, hope to visit again soon.
A lovely cottage close to Kendal with beautiful views. It had a really homely feel and thoughtful touches - such as the games cupboard. The beds were really comfortable and it was a bonus having two showers in the morning!
Cottage was very nice. Very dog friendly. Garden was perfect having dogs and cottage perfect size. Will def return.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful area.. quite rural but has close shops etc. Beautiful scenery and a beautiful little cottage too. We took lots of things including kitchen equipment however when we got there the house had everything we needed and more! Will definitely stay again :)
