Crow Park Hotel Keswick

There are clear positives in staying at the Crow Park. A car park is available, the walk to town is short, and from the front of the hotel there are great views towards borrowdale. Rooms are pleasant and the lounge area useful.

Stayed in early February. OK, not a modern, swish, super-stylish hotel, but in fact a very comfortable, clean, friendly, and well placed B&B which I would stay in again. I booked a single room, but in the off season I got a generous twin room, and I have to say this is good compared to other similarly sized places in the same town which stick stoically to the room booking, whether empty or not. A breakfast buffet wouldn't go amiss, but overall good breakfasts with a generous choice. This was a really good base for walking in the N Lakes.

I visited the Crow Park Hotel and found it lovely and very clean. A significant benefit was the proximity to Keswick town centre. Also the parking was a big plus. I was given excellent service and I will stay here on my next visit to Keswick.

Having spent a lot of my time living in hotels.... this hotel ranks right at the TOP of my list for friendliness, cleanliness, decor, location and value for money (etc, etc, etc) - especially useful is the free car park and wifi.

Ian and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Check in was quick and easy. The room was spotless overlooking Catbells and the lake. Tea & coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, flatscreen TV and an ample wardrobe and storage facilities for all our stuff. The bathroom was very well appointed and the large bath and plentiful hot water were just what was needed after spending the day out doing photography.

It was a real pleasure to stay in such a warm and friendly hotel. I can honestly say that at every stage we were made to feel like we were the only people in the hotel and the staff showed a genuine interest in their guests. Unlike corporate hotels and B&Bs, this is a true family run hotel where customer service and happy guests are of paramount importance.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Some of the nit-picking reviews are just so petty - these people should get real! I am sure that if the issues (if they were even real!) had been mentioned to Ian or the staff at the time, then they would have been dealt with straight away and without any fuss.

In my opinion this hotel offers good value for money and excellent facilities and service and it will always be my first port of call when needing accommodation in Keswick.

Thank you Ian and all your staff for a wonderful stay.

We have been to this hotel many times and have always enjoyed the location and atmosphere. It has been recently refurbished and our room was clean and well presented. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly. It is just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre and this makes it an ideal quiet location. It is also just a stroll down through the park to the lake. The breakfasts are very good with plenty of choice, cooked fresh and served to you at the table - no buffet nonsense. There is ample parking behind the hotel in a private car park. We can't fault this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 1 has an excellent view of Skiddaw.

We stayed here for six nights and have only praise for it. The staff are very helpful, with plenty of local knowledge. The rooms are spotlessly clean, if on the small side, and I was interested to hear of their winter plans to redecorate some. Bathroom was fine with very efficient walk in shower. Bedroom and bathroom lovely and warm both, with controllable radiators. Very comfortable beds; linen and towels OK. I must tell you about the breakfasts: lots of choice, all prepared to order and all waiter served, no having fetch your own orange juice like in so many places!

The Crow Park is not a cheap hotel but I have described the quality and when you add in the free parking and free wi-fi, it makes a difference.

This was a really nice straightforward hotel which we used for b&b last week. Everything was nicely decorated and spotless. Bed was very comfortable and shower was excellent. Heating worked well in the bedroom and was controllable. Tea facilities in bedroom good. Breakfast was very good, served by cheerful staff. It was very good value for money. It is not a luxury hotel and might not appeal to those wanting a terribly smart establishment, but has the air of a friendly family hotel which is being really well managed. I intend to use it as a base for short trips to the lakes in the future. Compared to some of the over-priced rubbish I have experienced recently, this place was a real find.
