I think some of the reviews have been unkind. We got very good and friendly service and had a good meal – well above average. We asked to be away in an hour to go to the theatre by the Lake and they coped very well.

Came here whilst on a family holiday/break after a recommendation from the lovely company who own the KESWICK BOOT COMPANY (shamless plug)

The food was excellent.

We had poppadoms to start only with the pickle trays, good selection of pickles and sauces sets a good start for any Indian (or indeed Banglasdeshi restaurant)

Mains we had a selection of all sorts, I personally had the Cas Bhuna with chicken, the chicken pieces were very large, which is no real problem other than having to cut them up ! Couldn't make my mind up about it tbh, whether it was good or not presentation wise, but it was very tasty.

Others had spinach dishes, a korma, tikka massalla. All were enjoyed, there was some food left which I took home and ate the day after - waste not want not !!!

Service was attentive without being pushy, perhaps a bit more "banter" from some of the staff but then they aren't paid to do a comedy routine.

Restaurant was busy and clean, both good markers of quality.

We have been calling here for many years and can recommend it to everyone.
( I had my first ever Indian meal here).

Being vegetarians, we struggle to get decent food-or choice in many restaurants, so this has been a regular each time we visit the lakes.
We often take friends there and they love it too.

The staff are fantastic, yes-they sometimes seem in a hurry-but this is a busy place and its all part of the service.
The food has always been flavoursome and decent quantities.

We were there Friday night (May 9th) had another great meal-and thought the staff were very professional.

We will be back again.!

had mixed feelings after reading the other reviews, and was very pleasantly surprised. I like chicken dahnsak, and found this restaurant to deliver on all counts, flavour, spice, and heat, one of the best i've had, there was nothing left in my bowl!!! all washed down with a nice beer!!! perfect after a long days drive!
