Lovely B&B. Very clean, lovely breakfast, owners are very helpful and approachable (recommended a lovely pub- George Hotel-worth a visit), location is fantastic, easy to park, secure bike storage. Shared a bathroom but never had to wait and always immaculate. Would and will recommend.

What a lovely stay at the babbling brook. Our hosts very friendly and hospitable. The room very clean and cosy. The bed we slept on was the most comfortable we have ever slept on. What beautiful restful sleep we had, and that's saying something from two virtual insomniacs. The town center was within a very short walking distance where there was plenty of shops, eating places cosy little pubs and a quaint old fashioned cinema which was over one hundred years old and a car museum which was well worth a look around. What's not to like!!!

We booked very last minute and were not disappointed with this B&B. It was very warm and welcoming and the owners were very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area with lovely recommendations of places to eat, see etc. The breakfasts were amazing and freshly cooked and the rooms were lovely and clean. Would definitely return on my next visit to the lakes.

The owners are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledge about where to eat and walk in the area. The house was very clean and the breakfast was freshly made - will definitely return. I would recommend booking direct. Location was near to town centre so we saved on parking costs.

We booked last minute, by that I mean the very morning we decided to drive to Keswick. We booked for one night, it was amazing from the moment we arrived, Paul met us within 2 minutes of our arriva,l on his push bike after leaving the cricket club, where had been watching the cricket on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. He showed us the lovely breakfast room, explained everthing, then took us to room 1, which was a gorgeous, large, airy room at the front, looking over the brook and park, with a large bay window. The bed was king size and extremely comfy, with crisp white linen, perfect. We were told about the best bars and restraunts and also the cricket club, which we went to for a drink, which by the way has the cheapest drinks in town and to boot is also the No1, most picturesque cricket club in the country, trully awsome. Its how England used to be back in the day, Families together, children on the park, climbing trees. We also met Paul and Angela later, they were late provision shopping for breakfast the next morning, we meanwhile were sat outside a bar having a drink. We will be going again very soon. Extremely highly recommend

Room Tip: Front rooms are sunny and picturesque

We booked 2 nights at the Babbling Brook in May 2013 and had such a lovely stay here. The b&b is very cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Paul and Angela really know how to make you feel welcome and when we arrived we were offered a choice of two beautiful rooms.
We stayed in the en suite on the top floor, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. Paul took the time to give us plenty of useful advice about where to go and what to do and really pointed us in the right direction, especially regarding restaurants. You should also check out their new cafe in town if you get chance.
Also I'd highly recommend going to see a show at the Theatre by the Lake if you can- the summer season has some great shows and the cast is brilliant.
The breakfast was superb and exactly what you need to set you up for the day. We were asked on arrival what we would like and anything specific was noted and no bother at all.
We're going back to Keswick again in August and although this time we will be staying with a friend, my boyfriend's parents are coming too and they have booked to stay at the Babbling Brook on our recommendation! My favourite part of the stay, it has to be said, was meeting Roxie, Paul's gorgeous Hungarian Vizsla aka 'Velcro dog'- We totally fell in love with her and from reading other reviews I can see she seems to be a bit of a hit with everyone!
Thank you Paul, Angela and Roxie for a lovely stay!

This is a really nice family guesthouse in a quiet yet central location just 2 mins walk from the bars, restaurants and shops. It was easy to find and we had no problems parking. The accommodation was very clean and cosy with really friendly staff. Paul was more than happy to accommodate our very early morning breakfast before we went running in the hills! A great choice for a short stay in Keswick!
