Stayed here for 2 nights. Received a very warm and genuine welcome from Peter who was so friendly and helpful with our planned walk, giving us knowledgeable advice for bad weather conditions. He also gave us very good suggestions on where to eat and various things happening in and around Keswick.
The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds, lovely towels and bed linen and tea/coffee making facilities. There was an excellent choice for breakfast, which was served at your requested time and beautifully cooked.
There was also a super collection of books and DVDs for guests to use.
The B and B is in a very good position for the centre of Keswick. You can leave your car outside and walk in. We will definitely return here as Peter is such a lovely person who makes you feel so welcome and at ease. Would HIGHLY recommend.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Salisbury Guest House. Peter, the owner, made us feel very welcome.

The Salisbury is well situated near to the town centre. There is plenty of free parking on the street. It's only a 5 minute walk into town and there are plenty of places to choose from to have dinner.

The room was very clean and had tea/coffee making facilities (and biscuits) and a TV/DVD player. The bed was very comfortable and the small things like good bed linen and soft towels had been provided.

Breakfast was good with a choice of cereals or cooked breakfast. As vegetarians we had 'veggie' sausages. The rest of the meal was either grilled or poached and it was not floating in oil. There was time for a chat with Peter who gave advice on places to eat and visit and good walks he had discovered.

Overall the Salisbury Guest House was immaculate. It is well maintained and had a very warm and friendly feel. We will be staying there again when we next visit the Lake District.

Thank you for reviewing us and for giving such a detailed summary of your stay. It is a great help to us as we are always looking for different ideas and ways we may be able to improve or diversify and it is also good to know if we get things right! We have a saying "Nice people come to Keswick" as the people who we have looked after have been a great crowd and long may it continue! Thanks again and we hope to see you again at some point in the future. Alex and Peter.
