I booked Burnside guest house for a surprise weekend for my boyfriends birthday, we had never been to the Lake District before. We are aged 27 and 25 and we wanted a cozy, quaint guest house with ensuite and a nice breakfast. We were welcomed on the Friday night by the wonderful hosts which made us feel very 'at home'. The guest house is a Victorian town house which has been refurbished to a high standard. Our room was spotlessly clean, the decoration was sticking with the Victorian era and looked very classy. The en suite was a good size and completely modern with a shower. We had a flat screen TV on the wall with 100's of channels to watch. The room was complete with tea, coffee, hotchocolate, herbal teas and the en suite was complete with lovely smelling showel gel, cotton buds, towels, cotton wool pads and facial wipes! The breakfast was a wide choice which included cereal, fruit, fruit choices, tea or coffee, toast, choice of smoked salmon, full english or homemade waffles. The dining room was decorated to the same high standard. We went for a hike and the hosts gave us 5 or 6 routes that we could take along with a map. You can walk into town and a taxi is £2.60 into town. I would recommend The George for a meal, home cooked food to a high standard, the mussels are gorgeous, about £40.00 for 2.I would defineltely stay here again and we are already planning our next trip!

This is one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in- fantastic service, beautiful clean rooms with attention to detail and big hearty delicious breakfasts. Location in keswick is great- the walk from the B&B into the town centre is a really lovely one and only takes 10 mins. We had a wonderful stay here and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed in Room 3 for seven nights and couldn't have been more delighted with our choice. The Panorma on Latrigg is wunderful.
The room was cosy and friendly decorated and had a small, but perfectly formed ensuite shower room. Guests are welcomed in and made to feel very at home. Sharon and Peter make this place special with their friendliness and gave us some good hints for places to go to.
Breakfast is very tasty - Full English, croissantd, waffles, egg or mushrooms on toast and vegetarian options too. Great value and a nicely, clean and frienly place to stay.

The surrounding countryside lies in one of the loveliest English National Parks. Burnside is perfect reachable by car via M6/A66 Penrith or via A591 Windermere.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Peter & Sharron for their hospitality and I have to say their beautiful guest house... We really enjoyed our stay and the reccomendations we had just made our weekend even better! I brought my mum for her birthday for a nice relaxing weekend, and that is what we surely had.... Sight seeing, boat trips, and a lovely evening meal at a place sharron reccomended to us close to the town center.
I would certainly like to reccomend anyone to this delightful B&B, the service was wonderful, and it was super clean and so fresh. All credit due to Peter & sharron for all their hard work that had gone into making their home such a lovely place for others to stay... I must say the pictures do this place no justice, you must see for yourself!! Go Go Go! A place for all age groups to stay, I'm 29 and my mum was 57 and we loved every minute. It was especially busy this particular weekend as the comon wealth mountaineering games were taking place so there were many people from different parts of the world visiting which was great to see everyone so supportive for this huge event. Certainly a place we shall re-visit and definatly shall return to the Burnside B&B Thanks again to Sharron & Peter, we wish you all the best.

Stayed at the burnside b&b for a week of walking in the fells. One of the best guesthouses i have ever stayed in.
Owners were friendly, approachable and helpful when it came to advice on places to eat and go out. If you plan to do a lot of walking the owners are happy to dry boots and coats for you.
The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean throughout our stay.
The breakfasts were exceptional and we would highly recommend the full english, and the waffles with fresh fruit and toffee sauce.
