We have just returned home after two nights at the Lookout Keswick. The initial greeting from Liz and Dave was extremely good. They both have a wonderful passion for their B and B in the Lakes and this enthusiasm shows in every aspect of their business and friendly approach towards guests.
The room ( number 1) was superb, spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed with every modern facility including a large and very comfortable bed. The view from the room is fantastic looking over towards the fells, on the second night of our stay we were treated to a beautiful sunset. The en suite bathroom was huge with excellent fixtures and fittings again maintained to the highest possible standards.
The dining room, along with the rest of the property was superb, the breakfast menu was excellent, all of the food was well cooked and served well. The quality and flavour of the food was top class.
We found Keswick to be an excellent location for a stay with the fells and the lake and we very also impressed by the busy little town, the parks, the theatre etc.
Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

This is hands down the nicest B&B I've ever come across. The building is beautiful, the room was immaculate and the owners are brilliant. I stayed in Room 3, the room was spotless and well proportioned. This room has the added bonus of a private balcony which has stunning views! The bathroom was fab with a really good shower! The breakfast was lovely, which is served in the dining room which also boasts the amazing views.. Liz was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I arranged a few surprise birthday touches in the room, balloons, cake and some drinks, which liz set up before we arrived. All in all you'll struggle to find a better B&B anywhere in the lakes, maybe even the UK, this really is a special place

We stayed two nights at ‘The Lookout, Keswick’ and what a wonderful place it is! Firstly when we pulled onto the drive you start to appreciate what secrets the rest the of the house has to offer. A great first impression!
The sheer enthusiasm in the greeting we received by Dave and Liz on arrival made us feel comfortable straight away. We were shown to our room, room 3 which is spectacular with its own balcony, views of the garden and the fells in the distance are amazing! The cleanliness throughout the property is superb! After looking around the inside we went for a stroll around the well-stocked and well maintained garden, there are so many quirky little areas in the garden, which you could sit and feel totally relaxed, very peaceful, this makes the garden stand out from the rest! You can chill your favourite tipple or snacks in the fridge! I had forgotten to take a bottle top for our champagne but when we came back from our walk the next afternoon, there had been a top put on the champagne and two champagne flutes placed in the room, little things like this make The Lookout such a special place to visit. The breakfast from locally sourced suppliers was very delicious and plentiful! The attention to detail follows through every aspect of our stay! Many thanks

Room Tip: Room 3 ,what a view

Yes the weather was unusually wonderful for our long weekend in the lakes but that did not blind us to the fact The Lookout provided quality accommodation which matched the outstanding weather in late July. We stayed in room 2 (which although front facing the main road )was quiet, very clean & contemporary furnished ,plenty of space, an expansive bathroom & a nice balcony with table and chairs. The garden out the back is delightful retreat. The delicious breakfast is made to order with the produce sources listed on the menu . The attention to detail and quality is plain to see in every aspect of your stay.
It is an ideal lodgings for couples of all ages or staying with older kids.
The only downside which is no fault of the owners is its location.A good 15 minute walk from the centre of Keswick which is ok when fair not so great in the rain but regular bus services pass by and a taxi is about £3-£4.
Book and enjoy!!

We were recommended The Lookout by a friend who had stayed earlier in the year and really enjoyed it so we had great expectations. We were not dissappointed, we were given a warm welcome on arrival and a tour of the house and the facilities. The house and our bedroom were really lovely, with a great shower, which was welcomed after a long day walking. Our bedroom had a balcony to sit out on and enjoy the amazing view out to the mountains which we enjoyed doing both evenings. Breakfast was really good and all locally sourced which was really nice to see. The owners Dave and Liz were keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay and offered advice on walks. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
