We have just spent a 2 night break at The Lookout, having previously done our research on Tripadvisor. The online photographs and previous review are 100% accurate. Liz and Dave were excellent hosts and have made a wonderful job of renovating the property. A great deal of thought has obviously gone in to planning the rooms and bathrooms, giving the appearance that no expense has been spared with all the furnishings and decor. We certainly intend to stay again in the future.

My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay at The Lookout. Everything , from the welcome you receive from Liz and Dave, the owners, to the standard of the accommodation was top notch. The bed and breakfast is furnished beautifully, with very comfortable rooms and the location is excellent...just a fifteen minute walk into Keswick. The views from the property are the best you could wish for and the garden is well planted and very relaxing to sit in after a long day on the hills.
The owners has got it just right here and I suggest you give it a try...you won't be disappointed.

The accomodation is of a very high standard. Our room had a generous sized bedroom with two chairs an a sofa, tea and coffe making and a hairdryer. The bathroom was huge with a very large shower, lovely bath and even room for a chair. The views from the full length window in the bedroom looking over to the fells was fantastic. There was even a view from the bathroom window.
The cooked breakfast was excellent with a good choice and was all beautifully cooked and presented.
The owners are very welcoming and have just the right balance of host/visitor relationship

We stayed 3 nights last week and like other reviewers found our room to be spacious, spotlessly clean and uncluttered, with a great bathroom and particularly good shower. The bed was extremely comfortable - I am 6 ft 5 in. Liz was a lovely host - she was there when we needed but otherwise left us to enjoy her and her partner's house.
Room 3 has its own balcony and an amazing view of the fells around the Newlands valley. It was lovely to sit out at 10 pm and listen to the birds and see the sunset (it was very hot weather).
Breakfasts were tasty with good coffee.
All-in-all, our room was better than the standard in most hotels, at a B&B price.

What a fabulous find, a real gem amongst many of the tired B&Bs in the Lakes.

Wonderfully friendly and relaxed hosts, always happy to give you advice on the area or just to chat!

The whole place has recently been refurbished in a very tasteful, modern style; the rooms are rather spacious and very comfortable - my missus is insisting we get a new bed after the one we experienced here. The views from the bedrooms on the rear of the house are spectacular, if only it had been warm enough to sit out on the balcony.

Breakfast - fab. No need to say any more.

Free off-road parking out front is a great bonus.

The only downside for some people will be the 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Keswick, but at least there's a foot/cycle path along the old railway so you don't have to walk alongside the road.

Highly recommended.
