Fell House is up a short hill, a very short walk from the town centre on one side and the river / Fitz Park on the other. While in Keswick, we went to the Convention and also did the walk to the west side of Derwentwater (Nichol End Marine recommended) and took the launch at Keswick Pier. The museum has a fascinating exhibition on Chris Bonnington.
Colin and Barbara have arranged everything so well and made us very welcome. Room 4 has views out towards the hills and we didn't mind that the bathroom (private not shared) was a few steps away. Everything was very clean and the bathroom is like new. All the little extras are provided (like face cloths, shampoo/conditioner, biscuits with the tea/coffee in room, bath robe). Of special note is the presentation of breakfast - particularly the poached egg (came on toast and with garnish) and the split tomatoes, but it was all lovely. Wifi worked fine. Thanks for a great couple of nights!More
