“Excellent”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

Stopped off on our last day of our holidays and was surprised there was so much to look at and do. Sure, you can see most of the illusions on the internet, but it is better to see them full scale and the gravity room is worth the entrance price alone. We was in with 4 children for about 1 hour and half, but we did do nearly every illusion and read the information available. I good little gift shop on the way out that caters to all budgets. I recommend it if your in the area.

“Fun place”

Quirky little museum to do something indoors for a while. Will appeal to all ages. Reasonable entry prices reflect that it is a little rundown. Defo recommend

“Not worth the hype - mostly illusions found on the internet”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

After reading about all the amazing illusions on display here, we were quite disappointed to arrive and find that this was a tiny place on the first floor of a regular building, mostly filled with large print outs of mundane illusions widely circulated on social media or email - such as the "Are both blocks the same size?", "Do you see two faces or a cup?", "Stare at the point in the centre, do you see the circles spinning?" etc.

The only two attractions that are worth seeing are the distorted room (which shows people in different sizes) and the anti-gravity room (where water seems to run upwards and so on).
A word of caution: the anti-gravity room can be a disorienting and is not recommended for everyone, particularly pregnant women.

So apart from the TWO rooms above, every thing else in the "World famous puzzling place" can be seen from the comfort of your computer with an internet connection.

Bottom line: Keswick is a beautiful little town with stunning views, a wonderful lake and loads of things to do, don't waste your time (or money) on this attraction.

“Interesting but busy”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

Arrived at reception to be told that it was extremly busy inside. We accepted that, but were told we couldnt purchase a family ticket and had to pay 3 adults and 1 child, for 17yr old.

This was not clear anywhere and given the small size of the museum and the number of people inside - was clearly unreasonable. Hence 3 of the 4 of us went in.

Once inside - very good if you could avoid screaming people running in front of your view of the exhibit.
