From the first hello to farewell this was a great place to stay. The hosts Tracey and Andrew, went out of their way to make the stay comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. The room was sparking clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious (yummy). There was plenty of fresh fruit, a full English or Vegetarian cooked breakfast and (gluten free (GF) cause that's what I requested, they have non GF too) toast.

I always have the thought with BnB's, should it be uncomfortable not talking to the other guests at breakfast? The service & food made up for this minimal discomfort.

There's plenty of outdoor activities to do around Keswick, I climbed Catfells which was hard but the amazing views made it worthwhile.

Room Tip: I hired a car from Manchester, this was a 2hr drive on the motorway from Keswick. The train stops at Penrith, 20min away from Keswick, the only issue was car hire in Penrith closes earlier than Manchester. That's a juggle you have to resolve between arrival time and suitable transport.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Tracey and Andrew are wonderful hosts and could not have done more to make us feel welcome.

They keep the house absolutely spotless and were helpful with bits of local knowledge.

The bedroom was excellent, the bathroom nice and breakfast was brilliant every day.

We would happily recommend anyone staying in Keswick to go to Beckside, we will the next time we go.

Stayed at Beckside last year on way home from Scotland. Promised ourselves we would return. Just had a four night stay and it was excellent. Owners are so welcoming and the information and help they give you whether walking, climbing, visiting restaurants or Keswick in general is first rate.

Highly recommend -spotlessly clean, lovely rooms and the owners provide a wonderful breakfast and anything you need. Welcoming and friendly and rooms are very quiet despite central location. This was my third stay and will return again.

We selected this B&B on price and Tripadvisor reviews and can honestly say that we were delighted with our choice. Tracey and Andrew made us very welcome on arrival and their friendly and helpful attitude continued during our two night stay. Our room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped as was the rest of the guesthouse. The excellent breakfast consists of a choice of fruits, cereals and yoghurts before a top notch full English breakfast served accompanied by toast and a choice of tea or coffee. Ideal location for a five minute stroll into the town centre to test Tracey and Andrew's local knowledge by trying out their recommendations for evening meals. They passed! We've no hesitation in recommending Beckside Guesthouse.
