We stayed here for one night. A saturday to sunday break which I was dreading after reading the previous reviews. We arrived early (10.30 a.m.) and were warmly welcomed. Our rooms were ready and we were able to leave our luggage. Parking is a problem, but hey this is Keswick. There are lots of car parks. The room was bright with a double bed and en-suite and although small was warm and beautifully clean. The bed was comfortable, sheets and towels a crisp white, small dvd tv, tea and coffee, kettle and hairdryer. Breakfast was fab. For a central location you cant beat this. At £60 for 2 with breakfast included this was great. I would stay here again. Anybody wanting luxury, pay the extra and dont moan about the Lyndhurst .

Two-night weekend break - friendly owners, very good breakfast, well furnished etc. But let down by the tiny size of the room and the fact it was not en-suite - (private bathroom down the corridor but this was not made clear at the time of booking). Location was perfect, and we had no problems parking (maybe we were lucky!). There are much better options available nearby, so won't be staying here again.

The previous review says it all, great location, horrendous for parking, extremely dated guesthous, all the rooms have a sink in the bedroom, no room whatsoever to move about in. The only good thing about it was the breakfast, really lovely, but its probably the worst room we've ever stayed in. There are a lot more modern looking and "roomy" B&Bs in the immediate area (and we have stayed in a few round there), this has got to be the smallest room ever. Lovely people but unfortunately we won't be staying here again.

We went up for a weekend, and booked this B&B cause of price and location. We were looking for somewhere nice and local as we prefer to help the local business than some big chain.

When we arrived we had real problems parking but thats cause the street Lyndhurst is on and the streets surrounding is chocka full of B&B's. Lyndhurst does look very tired next to its more modern lookng neighbour.

Once you come in it is very dark, but think this is down to the decor. The management were still cleaning on our arrival (despite the phone call we had made the day before advising of what time we would be arriving) and we had to negotiate up to our rooms around hoover wires etc........

The rooms are very small, and the bathroom is literally a cupboard. There is no room for a sink so its in the main room. It is however clean and has tea and coffe making facilities. The bed was clean and despite the bottom sheet not fitting the mattress we had a good nights sleep.

The breakfast was lovely and nothing was coated in grease so that was nice. There was fruit available too so that kept me happy.

I know this may sound negative, but I was just a bit disappointed. I paid £75.00 to Last minute .com to stay here and on the door it shows rates of £35 per night, which are far more realistic. We hadnt been to this part of the world before and it would have been nice to get back and stay in a nice room, not one where we struggle to move about in. This said, the location was brilliant as was literally a 2 minute walk into the centre, and we really enjoyed both the market and the James Bond Museum.

In short, basic, clean but good location.
