Heather our lesson leader was fantastic. We had an hours 1:1 tuition as we arrived quite early. from start to finish it was well organised and the training allowed us to then spend another few hours climbing by ourselves as we'd mastered the basics. For £15 per person we thought this was good value. Thanks Keswick climbing wall - keep us the great work.

Hello and thanks for the super review ! We always try to make sure any adults on the lesson finish being capable of continuing belaying safely after the lesson ends then allowing the party to carry on climbing for the rest of the day at no extra cost. We are glad that you feel that this is good value and we hope that you will come back and climb with us again.

A friend and I went for a kayaking morning with Sam from Keswick Climbing Wall recently. We both had a great time - lots of fun and good value as only the two of us in the group. The centre provided cagouls, buoyancy jackets and fleeces as it was a cold day. We were then driven from the climbing wall centre down to a marina on Derwent Water to collect our kayaks and paddles. After some instruction from Sam, we were then on the water for about 2 hours - paddling to a few of the islands on the water. Sam was a good instructor - patient and friendly. It was a great way to see the lake and is a good rainy day activity as, even without falling in, you end up pretty damp anyway! Would definitely reccommend.

We signed up for the archery as it was an activity we all wanted to do. Billed as a 1 hour session it turned out to be around half an hour of archery with lots of time watching others do it - the bigger the group the less time you send doing it yourself. Obvious really if you think about it but at £60 for a family of 4 and around £1 per arrow, a bit disappointing and not good value. The guy teaching made it fun thought and knew his stuff.
The climbing looks to be more fun... but young children need an adult as part of the lesson even though those adults are not the ones learning to climb. So a £15 lesson turns into £30 in an eye-blink. Do this in the morning though and you get the benefit of the rest of the day on the ropes and walls.

Kids went out on the high ropes course - only 3 of them with one instructor who was great with them - they had 2 hours of climbing/ swinging/ jumping followed by an hour on the indoor climbing walls - given that they ranged in age from 15 down to 9, they all had a really good time despite the rain and wind and were so pleased with what they managed to do - good value for money!

We went to the climbing wall last week and had a great laugh! My wife had never climbed before and it was years since I'd tried it so had a lesson which was top draw good instruction and friendly! Then had access to climb as much as we wanted! I would say it was great value for money and a good experience for us both we will be going back next visit! All the staff were really friendly and helpful!
