“Another Excellent Break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 January 2012

We have just returned from a post New Year Break at the Keswick Country House Hotel. We have been many times before and have always thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is in a great position with views over the fells but within easy walking distance of the town. The rooms have all been upgraded and are warm and comfortable-very welcoming after a walk in rain and gale force winds! The staff are always very pleasant and helpful and the quality and choice of food is what has always drawn us back there- the dinners offer a really interesting variety of well cooked and beautifully presented food. We have never been disappointed and are already looking forward to our next visit.

We arrived at Hotel on 30th December and stayed until 3rd Jan2012. The Staff could not have been more helpful the hotel was lovely -- cosy and warm. The New Year Package was very well organised and we got welcoming gifts, which was very thoughtful. We had a very relaxing time and would not hesitate to recomend this hotel. The only down point was the decor could do with a little bit of updating, but it would not stop me from returning. I do hope they keep a hold of the chef as his food was lovely and very well presented. Prices were very fair and you did not feel you were being ripped off which sometimes happens at that time of year. Well Done to all Staff. The walk into Keswick was lovely and it is a delightful town.

Room Tip: We have been twice and stayed in the Station Rooms, which are very roomy

The Keswick Country House New Year Celebration had an inclusive three day B.B & D itinerary, with mull wine and roasted chestnuts reception. Afternoon tea, hot broth, champagne drinks prior to New Year Dinner all in the Conservatory. Entainment on two evenings. Very good menu, food quality not quantity well presented and served by friendly staff.

This is our second year running and we booked for next New Year on departure, which I guess commends this hotel and Choice Hotel Group for consideration.

Room Tip: The Junior Suites can make all the difference, giving excellent views on third floor and a sitting/re...

Just spent 3 nights here over the new year period. check-in was quick, polite, and helpful. Our room was large clean and comfortable. The meals were as good as I have eaten anywhere, hot tasty and plenty of choice. The staff at this hotel are a credit to the choice hotel group all are polite and very friendly, even the manageress took time to find and arrange seating for us in the entertainment room on new years eve. Really enjoyed our stay and was as good if not better than our stay 2 years ago. Would recomend this hotel to all.

Just come back from a New Year break at the Keswick, what a great hotel, lovely staff and the food was brilliant. Couldn't find fault with anything to do with the hotel, only a couple of the guests!

Room Tip: Book early

I recently visited the Keswick Hotel with my partner for 1 night just before Christmas.
The Hotel was fantastic!
Including in our booking was evening meal and breakfast.
The food was amazing, there is only 4 options for starters, mains and deserts but there was enough of the menu to suit all tastes. Breakfast was fantastic! from a full english to continental!
The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The rooms were very clean and spacious and the bathroom was fantastic and the Beds were very comfortable with fresh clean bedding.
I would recommend and will definately be returning back soon
