A 3day BB&EM stay in upgraded room [Junior suite } at a very reasonable price
Dining room very elegantly laid out incl, white linen table cloths.
Food excellent
Bar acceptable
Bedroom very good although the sash windows in need of TLC.Corridor locally outside our room had an unpleasant smell which fortunately did not invade the room. All other corridor areas were fine . Staircases very elegant.
Staff good
We"ve paid twice the for similar hotels

Room Tip: Garden side better outlook

From the moment we arrived the welcome was very friendly, we were early so could not check in until the allotted time of 3.00pm. The location of the hotel is perfect for getting out and about, Keswick town centre 5 minutes walk and there are plenty of bars and restaurants close to the centre. We stayed for two nights on half board basis, the food was fantastic! I was very impressed, the quality of the food and service was extremely good. We stayed in a superior king room which was a huge room, we had complimentary chocolates and water which was a nice touch, however the cramped bathroom let the room down. The bathroom is in need of an update the grout and tiles were grubby and the finishes were rough, bits falling off round the vanity unit but overall it was functional and reasonably clean. I would recommend this hotel for a lovely relaxing break and would definitely return.

Chose this hotel after looking for a few specifics: parking, wifi, bath, bar. Read reviews, checked against other hotels and went for it. Booked through expedia. Specifically chose a room at the station annex after seeing the pictures and reading the rooms facilities.

Arrived, nowhere to park. Apparently you can park on the road despite the worn yellow lines because the road leading up is owned by the hotel. However, it doesn't say that so you may have lugged your bags along way before finding that out.

Checked in and told I don't have that room and it's expedia's fault, they have the wrong details. Well booking.com had the same details too. My specially chosen room is gone. I do get a room in the main house with bath so that's ok, just wasn't as nice as the pics I'd chosen.

Was given free lunch voucher to make up so extra points for good service. Very helpful receptionist.

Wifi, I was told no password, if your lucky to get it. Mmm no wifi in room. This day and age, hotels must have wifi, and that works. Well, I found you can use it in the lounge.

Good night sleep.

Breakfast was good, big buffet choice.

Hotel is literally a couple of minutes walk to the centre. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We had a great dinner, service and value at Casa Bella Italian.

Room Tip: Room 303, nice view. Bathroom a bit cramped. But room very spacious. There is a lift so bother with...

We have had another wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite room which was very comfortable with great views of the surrounding hills. Food and staff were excellent. Hotel is only 5 minutes walk to centre of Keswick. We have now stayed at this hotel 6 times and will definitely return!

The hotel is set in a good central location, close to the town, a 3 or 4 minute walk away to shops and restaurants. The grounds were lovely and well kept. The rooms we booked were really nice, very clean and modern, my only grumble was it was a bit of a trek to and from the reception/ breakfast room and hotel exit and although we didnt eat dinner at the hotel, all the hallways and staircases smelt of fish, which wasnt very nice! Staff were very well mannered and approachable and helpful. The hotel needs to lay on some more recreational activities for families in my opinion. What really made my stay was the nice staff and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms.

Nice hotel in its own grounds just a short walk into the town. Pleasant and professional staff. Bar lunches and dinner excellent and good value for money. Breakfast buffet style and adequate but not exceptional. Room was large and comfortable. Unfortunately wifi only in public spaces, not in bedrooms. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the gardens.
