Our last stay, returning from a road trip to the Hebrides and back to Lancashire. Looks like we saved the best to last: easily found, charming location, rooms thoughtfully kitted out.

Grab rails in shower, ample space. Friendly welcome included tea and coffee served in garden. Breakfast menu offered plenty of choice, with quality items cooked well.

Putting this on our list for future trips ! Surpassed some of the B&Bs we had to stay in which offered far less for more ££.

Set just off the A66 a lovely old farm house. 7 miles from Keswick. Mandy was very welcoming, checked in quickly. The room was perfect as was the ensuite. Room 3 with a beautiful four poster bed facing out onto the courtyard. A generous and varied hospitality tray. Free onsite parking, delicious breakfasts. A lovely quaint little bar situated just off the breakfast room where Mandy asked us to help ourselves and just write down what we had. The little lounge was perfectly old fashioned, reminded me of an era before TV. Wonderful to sit and relax in after a busy day exploring, very quiet and plenty of literature about the surrounding area and board games to choose from. A very memorable and relaxing stay. Would definately recommend.

We booked an overnight stay here for our anniversary and were very impressed. The room was very clean and tidy and the four poster bed was great! Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and all facilities working and well kept. Breakfast was really nice. Great views out over the country side and set away from the main road so not difficult to find but also feels private and quiet.

Best of all the host was lovely, she made us feel right at home, it was like staying in a family home more than a guest house. So friendly and welcoming

Room tip: Don't miss the sign on the main road!

Booked a short break here and was very happy. The room was lovely and very comfortable. Shower great and the breakfast was very tasty. Dog friendly (even down to an extra sausage for Roy for later. Very peaceful and an ideal spot to explore Northern Lakes.
