We had trouble paying before we arrived and it took multiple attempts before payment was made. Apart from that it was good. Was disappointed we couldnt use the minibus as another group had it. Meant we forked out £15 in parking fees.

Spent Saturday afternoon Ghyll Scrambling and what a fabulous time we had. I would really recommend this, Jason was an excellent guide & kept us all very amused, the whole time. If you want a fun filled exciting afternoon that everyone can enjoy then give this a go.

As a couple, we had a full day session (via ferrata and ghyll scrambling).

If you can overcome fear of heights and get to grips with the simple safety system, the VF is an unrivalled experience. Definitely the closest I will come to rock climbing. If like me you are unfamiliar beforehand with exactly what it is like, watch their youtube video.

Ghyll scrambling was great fun. There was a mix of children and adults. The kids and adults all loved it and there was great banter amongst the instructor and the group. Great variety in sliding, jumping, diving, head first backwards into a variety of pools!

Alastair was extremely welcoming and genuinely keen on making sure everyone was setup and ready for a great day.

Special mention to our instructor for the day Phil. As these activities feel extreme in comparison to everyday life, an instructor has the opportunity to enhance the experience. Phil went out of his way to deliver this! Passionate, interested in the group, supportive, encouraging, genuine - got the balance just right!

As a contacts lenses wearer, my only tip for the ghyll scrambling is to wear glasses with a strap around your neck or go without (if you can). You probably wouldn't wear them if jumping into a swimming pool, so no different out on the river!

We wanted a fun filled day & that's exactly what we got. Alastair was extremely accommodating by organising the day on relatively short notice for us despite us only being a small group. We arrived to rain, but it certainly didn't hamper the experience. We spent the morning with Phil & Emma our instructors doing the Extreme Via Feratta. They were extremely supportive & encouraging throughout the experience & were kind enough to take some pictures for us seeing as we were a tad tied up.

After a brief lunch, it was straight in to Ghyll Scrambling with Alastair. We were appropriately kitted out & were given waterproof socks & two wetsuits as the temperatures were a tad chilly. Alastair was fantastic throughout the Ghyll & threw us in at the deep end (literally!) The scrambling is awesome from start to finish if you're willing to push your boundaries! Al kept us entertained thorough out & is a top chap. I can highly recommend the Ghyll scrambling & I'm hoping to return to do a full day of Ghyll!!

Get it booked peeps!!
